The Northern Highlands of Scotland.

A photograph taken in the Northern Highlands of Scotland, a land rich in history with dramatic landscapes. Scotland occupies the northern part of the island of Great Britain and is surrounded by water on three sides. Once covered with forests, most of the trees were cut down to make room for agriculture and industry but reforestation efforts are replacing many of the trees.
