This castle is located at Kyle of Lochalsh in
Scotland, United Kingdom, and often called Scotland's
most romantic castle. The island of Eilean Donan has
been a fortified site for at least 800 years, although
the present building largely dates from the early 20th
century, rising from the ruins of its predecessor and
rebuilt between 1912 and 1932.
