This photo, taken Sept. 29, 2004 by Emily Leidolf, won first place in the 2005 Indiana EMS Photo Competition.
In 2001 I was promoted to Network Administrator at STATCARE (although still continuing in a flight paramedic position on a part-time basis).

In 2002 I married Robin and gained an entire family: her daughter Bobbi Jo, son-in-law Scott, and two beautiful granddaughters, Cassandra and Natalie.

In 2004 I started preparing for possible retirement by starting John Hultgren Photography. Realizing that it takes a few years to develop a business, my thoughts were to get the business set up and operating before I truly needed it. While I don't have an interest in commercial photography, I do enjoy taking pictures so my goal is to create an environment for retirement where I can concentrate on photography and the sale of artistic photographic prints.

I tested the waters by entering two photos into the Kentucky State Fair. One was awarded first place, and another honorable mention.
